Unity Infra wins orders worth Rs200 crore

Unity Infraprojects Ltd has won three work orders worth Rs200.10 crore from IISER College Pune, Orissa Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) and Kumar Builders Township Ventures Pvt Ltd, Hinjewadi, Pune.
The first order worth Rs88.99 crore from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, is for construction of lecture theatre block and laboratory complex at its campus. The completion period of the project is 24 months.
The second order worth for Rs69.15 crore from Orissa Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, Bhubaneswar is for construction of a tower at industrial estate, Mancheswar. The contract is to be completed in 24 months.
Unity Infra has also won an order worth Rs41.96 crore from Kumar Builders Township Ventures for construction of SEZ Project (IT Park). The project is to be completed in around 11 months.

Lanco Infratech Limited (LITL) EPC Division has been awarded the Prestigious EPC Contract by a Moser Baer Group Company, for their 2 x 600 MW Coal Based Thermal Power Project through International Competitive Bidding (ICB).
The Scope of Contract includes Complete Main Plant and BOP Package including Civil and Structural Works on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis, however it excludes Non-EPC Works taken up by the
Developer.
The Value of the Contract is Rs. 4,100 Crores (Rupees Four Thousand One Hundred Crores).

KEC International Ltd., has won a rural electrification order in the state of Madhya Pradesh and a substation order in Ghana, Africa.
The Rural Electrification order comes from the Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Ltd., under the RGGVY programme in the district of Morena in Madhya Pradesh state. The scope covers electrification in 7 blocks, providing connection to approx. 22000 below poverty line families. The value of the order is Rs. 74 crores.
The substation order in Ghana is from the Volta River Authority for construction of a 161 kv substation. The value of the order is Rs. 40 crores. |

In respect of the Development of Vizhinjam International Deepwater Seaport in Kerala, the following is intimated:
LANCO Kondapalli Power Pvt. Ltd in consortium with Lanco Infratech Ltd and Pembinaan Redzai Sdn. Bhd. Malaysia (Lanco Consortium) were declared as the successful bidder by the Government of Kerala (GOK) for 'Development of International Deepwater Seaport and Container Transshipment Terminal at Vizhinjam, Trivandrum, and Kerala".
One of the disqualified bidders (Zoom Developers Pvt. Ltd.) filed a writ petition before the High Court of Kerala, challenging its disqualification. The Writ Petition was dismissed by the Hon. Single Judge on July 03, 2008.
Against the order of the Hon'ble Single Judge, the said disqualified bidder filed a Writ Appeal before a Division Bench of Kerala High Court. The Division Bench on December 04, 2008 had pronounced the Judgment in the Writ Appeal declaring the "Qualification Bid" of Zoom Developers Pvt. Ltd. as responsive and that the Technical and Financial proposals submitted by them are to be considered by the Government of Kerala within fifteen days.
The Lanco Consortium is evaluating all options for future course of action, including filing of review Petition in the appropriate Courts.

L&T secures Rs 1,372 Crore Orders from Metallurgical Sector |

Larsen & Troubro (L&T) has secured major orders aggregating to RS. 1372 crore from various customers like Vedanta Aluminum Limited, Utkal Alumina International Limited and Bhushan Steel Limited.
L&T has secured an order valued Rs. 516 crore from Vedanta Aluminum for setting up of a 3 million tones per annum (MTPA) alumina refinery at its lanjigarh plant in Orissa. The scope involves civil, structural, tanks, equipment erection, piping and commissioning assistance for the alumina refinery. The Project is to be executed in 20 months.
L&T has also secured order valued Rs. 455 crore from Utkal Alumina International for setting up of 1.5 MTPA green field alumina refinery at Doraguda near Rayagada in Orissa. The scope involves civil, piling, structural and tank for the alumina refinery. The project is to be executed in 24 months.
In an another development, L&T secured an order valued Rs. 401 crore form Bhushan Steel for Civil, Structural, equipment erection and piping for its phase – III expansion at Angul in Orissa which includes setting up a Steel Melt Shop and Coke Oven. L&T is already executing the other orders of a 3, 800 cubic–Metre blast furnace and 2X 204 square metre sinter plants for Bhushan Steel for Phase – III.
These orders, from major producers in ferrous & non ferrous sector in the metallurgical field, portray the enormous confidence the industry has in L&T’s expertise in engineering, construction and project management.

Patel Engineering Ltd a civil infrastructure construction company has bagged the single largest irrigation project in India, the Pranahita – ChevellaLift Irrigation package 6 of Rs. 3,859 crore from the Government of Andhra Pradesh in consortium with BHEL and Navyuga Construction. The Pranahita Lift Irrigation scheme will divert about 160 TMC of water from the river Pranahita to irrigate an area of 12, 2,000 acres in the drought prone areas of the Telangana region.
This mammoth project is all inclusive and involves investigation, designing, construction and maintenance of approach channels, tunnels, pump houses, electro mechanical and hydro mechanical and pipe line works. The project is expected to get commissioned within next 48 months. This project is a part of the massive modernization program undertaken by the Andhra Pradesh State Government to boost irrigation potential.

KPTL has won a very prestigious Gas Pipeline Contract in India for Largest diameter size against a very stiff competition with Domestic & International Companies.
GAIL has recently awarded to KPTL Zangas consortium Section – B of the prestigious 48” dia Vijaypur–Dadri High Pressure Gas Pipeline project at an estimated contract value of Rs. 240.00 crores. KPTL had submitted their bid in consortium with JSC–Zangan for GAIL’s prestigious Vijaypur– Dadri Pipeline project in June, 2008. The Section consists of 165.5 KMs of 48” pipeline with associated facilities. Preliminary activities for implementation of the project have already been undertaken.
KPTL has already completed over 1000 Kms of cross country pipeline in India in the last four years of starting Infrastructure business in Oil & Gas sector. The reputation earned by the Infra division of KPTL is that of a highly Reliable Contractor.
